Classic In Waynewood
The Brief
We love a bathroom renovation, even when the layout doesn't fundamentally change, and with this client, we were lucky enough to tackle two at once. Our clients were ready to update two outdated bathrooms in their mid-century Colonial Revival home and requested a sophisticated coastal vibe. In the Primary Bath, the molded tub enclosure and dated floor tile were replaced with a large shower wrapped in (the aptly named) "Blue Tides" marble and fitted with brass fixtures to coordinate with their existing hardware and window shade.
In the basement bath, we removed old, humidity-damaged wood paneling and brought new life to the room with an updated shower with beach-inspired color and texture in the floor and wall tiles.
As a bonus, once the bathrooms were complete, our clients were ready to refresh their college-aged daughter's bedroom. This project proved a great fit for our Limited Design Service. Keeping the bed, dresser, and vintage armchair, we recommended a new paint color, lighting, bedding, area rug, window shades, nightstands, side table, mirror, and fabrics for reupholstering the vintage chair. Our client was able to purchase and install the majority of these items on her own!
